Wd_diag.exe v2.60 80K (last modified MAY.12.98)
Contains Wddiag.exe v2.60 which allows you to test the drive, print results for last drive
tested, repair errors found during the Test Drive option and write zeros to the drive
(low-level format). This utility replaces Wd_clear (which was used for scanning errors
"Read Verify" and low-level formatting capabilities). Wd_diag.exe also replaces
Wdat_ide.exe for scanning and defect management. However, continue to use Wdat_ide.exe if
you own one of the following older model Caviar drives: AC140, AC160, AC280, AC2120,
AC2170, AC2200. A user's guide for this utility is available below.
EZ-Drive v9.06W 714K (last

This utility is used to partition and format Western Digital Caviar drives on machines
that do not provide support for larger drives. This version of EZ Drive is self-booting.
To create the installation diskette, download this file to an empty directory on your hard
drive and execute the file from the drive. Insert a blank 3.5" floppy diskette and
follow the screen instructions. This will create the installation diskette that can then
be used to setup your drive. EZ Drive replaces the Disk Manager software.

This firmware update is applicable to WD Caviar models AC11200, AC22000, AC22500,
AC33200, AC34000, AC34300, and AC35100. The firmware update will only reduce the noise
associated with wear leveling and will not affect the performance of the wear leveling
feature. The wear leveling capability will remain in operation to enhance drive
reliability.

This file contains the most up-to-date Disk Manager drivers for Windows 95, Windows NT v3.5x, OS/2 2.1x and OS/2 Warp and they fix numerous issues,
especially those with IBM PS/1 Value Point machines.
These drivers replace Ddloader.bin and Xbios.ovl files in Disk Manager 6.03, 6.03a, 6.03b
and 6.03c.
